Robert JamesMCKIEOn the 9th June 2024 peacefully at Dumfries and Galloway Infirmary in the presence of his family, Robert James McKie (Bert) aged 90 years, formerly of Salmon Court, Kingholm Quay, beloved husband of the late Moira, loved dad of James, Frances, Inez and Jean, much loved father in law, papa/granda to all his grandchildren great grandchildren, great great grandchild.

Service at Roucan Loch Crematorium on Friday 21st June at 1pm. All friends are respectfully invited to attend.

Family flowers only please. Donations if desired for Dementia can be given at the service in memory of Bert.

Funeral attire optional.

Hi first of all i would like to say im so sorry for the loss of your Dad. i have been doing my family tree for 4yrs now. And have been looking for my/your Grannies older sons, and as i have been searching tonight i came across the death of my uncle Bert. The last time i seen him i would of been maybe 5 or 6 yrs old. All i can remember is He lived im sure it was a farm up like a sort of a hill, and his wife was Moira. My mum was Ella.
So Granny had :
Samuel (Sam) i can remember he had 1 son im sure his name was either Ronald or Roland
Robert James (Bert) or Bertie
Margaret
Anna
Ella my mum (Helen)
Geordie
Dorothy
Granny Elizabeth Mc Master.
im am just so sorry that i never got to know Uncle Bert, and his family. Granny was a difficult woman.
I have managed to get back in our family tree as 1700s.
When i last seen you all you was also children i think im 57 now born irvine ayrshire 1967.
Mum (ella) passed away in 2019
